class Author Guidelines
Authors submitting their articles for publication in the Ulul Albab: Jurnal Studi dan Penelitian Hukum Islam must fulfill the following standard conditions:
- Articles must be original, unpublished, and not currently under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Submitted articles must be grounded in research, which may include library research, field research, or other forms of inquiry encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Articles may be composed in either English or Bahasa Indonesia.
- The length of the article is anticipated to range between 5,500 and 10,000 words, excluding references and bibliography. It is requested that the Palatino Linotype font, size 11, be utilized, with single spacing on A4-sized paper. Additionally, margins should be set to 2.5 cm on all sides.
- All manuscripts must be prepared using OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file formats. Submissions in other formats, such as LaTeX or PDF files, will not be accepted.
- The article should include the following sections: 1) title in English; 2) author's name (without title), affiliation, and email address; 3) email correspondence; 4) abstract in both English and Indonesian; 5) keywords in English; 6) introduction; 7) research method; 8) results and discussion; 9) conclusion; and 10) bibliography.
- Articles should include the author's full name, the name of the affiliated university or professional institution, and an email address for correspondence.
- Submitted manuscripts must include an abstract that is between 200 and 250 words in length.
- Tables and diagrams should be numbered sequentially, with the title and corresponding number positioned above the respective table or diagram. Furthermore, tables should be centered within the column or page, formatted with single spacing, and the titles should not be presented in bold.
- Images must be incorporated into the electronic version of the manuscript in either JPG or PNG format.
- Words or phrases in foreign languages should be italicized, while Arabic-Latin transliteration must adhere to the writing style guidelines established by the Ulul Albab Journal.
- Articles should include a bibliography that incorporates primary sources, including books, manuscripts, interviews, or observations, in addition to current secondary sources, such as peer-reviewed books and journals.
- Bibliographic references must be included in footnotes and in the bibliography, adhering to the guidelines established in the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (full notes). The bibliography should be organized in alphabetical order.
