Ulul Albab: Jurnal Studi dan Penelitian Hukum Islam (JUA) is a peer-reviewed journal, published by the Department of Sharia, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) Semarang, with a frequency of publication twice a year, namely in April and October. This journal publishes the latest original research from lecturers and researchers related to the study of Islamic Law, utilising interdisciplinary material objects in social, religious, political, economic, cultural, and other fields.JUA has obtained accreditation from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education on 26 September 2019, with accreditation number 28/E/KTP/2019. In an effort to improve the quality of the journal, both from the substance of articles and journal governance, Ulul Albab, on 28 November 2019, collaborated with the Indonesian Islamic Family Lecturer Association (ADHKI).
In the latest edition, Ulul Albab has undergone various improvements to improve journal accreditation standards. Among other things, the addition of the number of editors from various countries and institutions, the use of reference managers in citation and references, each article is reviewed by two reviewers, and changes in templates using standard A4 paper size. Given the high number of article submissions, Ulul Albab also increased the number of published articles to eight.
