COPYRIGHT TRANSFER AGREEMENT

In the process of publishing and distributing research articles, the editor of Ulul Albab: Jurnal Studi dan Penelitian Hukum Islam (JUA) requires the transfer of publishing rights from the author to the publisher. This agreement pertains to the transfer or licensing of publishing copyright to JUA. However, authors retain substantial rights to use and disseminate their published articles.

The JUA acknowledges the importance of authors sharing, disseminating, and maximizing the impact of their research, as well as asserting their rights in any database. As an author of a journal article, you possess the rights to various uses of your work, including utilization by your affiliated institution or organization. Copyright is automatically applicable without the necessity of special permission. Authors who publish in JUA retain broad rights to employ their work for teaching and scholarly purposes without requiring prior permission, including:

1. utilize the author for lectures, presentations, or conferences, and distribute copies to attendees.
2. distributing to colleagues for research purposes.
3. for use in future compilations of the author's work.
4. incorporation into a thesis or dissertation.
5. reuse of parts or quotations from the article in other works is permitted, provided that full acknowledgment of the article's source is given.
6. compilation of derivative works (excluding commercial purposes) with reference to the final article.
7. voluntary posting on an open website managed by the author or the author's agency for academic purposes.

Authors who submit manuscripts acknowledge that, upon acceptance for publication, the copyright of the article will be transferred to Ulul Albab: Jurnal Studi dan Penelitian Hukum Islam (JUA).
