Digital Archiving Policy
The Journal of Islamic Legal Studies and Research ensures electronic backup and preservation of access to its journal content through the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN). This is documented in the Publisher's Manifest.
PKP has established the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to facilitate the digital preservation of journals hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS). The LOCKSS program provides a decentralized and distributed approach to preservation, ensuring unlimited perpetual access and the safeguarding of authentic original versions of content. PKP PN specifically addresses the preservation needs of journals that are not encompassed by other digital preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, thereby ensuring long-term access to these works. For further information regarding PKP PN, please refer to the high-level overview (initial discussion document).
