Implementation of the Pancasila Class Student Profile Strengthening Project IV Elementary Schools in the Rafflesia Cluster

Abstract

In facing the challenges of globalization and rapid technological development, Indonesia's young generation needs to have a strong character, rooted in the nation's noble values. Therefore, the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is very important as an effort to shape students who are faithful, have noble morals, are independent, have critical reasoning, are creative, and are able to work together and be globally diverse. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. with research sources from the principal, fourth grade teachers, and students. In this study, the researcher took samples using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of P5 activities at Tuksongo 1 Public Elementary School and Tanjungsari Public Elementary School had been carried out with P5 steps. However, there was a discrepancy regarding the description of project activities, this was known when the teacher in starting the P5 activity had not started with a trigger question to arouse the connection and curiosity of students regarding the activities being carried out and had not asked authentic questions. Obstacles in the implementation of P5 activities in both elementary schools were not optimal due to the lack of socialization from the school and from the government and the lack of intensive training related to the implementation of P5. Efforts to overcome obstacles in implementing P5 require good cooperation between teachers, students, parents, and the school.
