The Effect of Work Motivation and Education Duration on the Interest of Central Kalimantan Regional Polda ASN in Participating in Development Education
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and duration of education on the interest of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Central Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) in participating in development education. The need for superior and professional Human Resources (HR) in the police institution, especially in facing complex security challenges in regions such as Central Kalimantan, is the main background of this study. The research method used is quantitative by distributing questionnaires to ASN Polda Central Kalimantan. The results show that work motivation has a significant and positive influence on ASN interest in participating in development education. Similarly, the duration of education provided was also found to have a significant influence. Simultaneously, work motivation and duration of education together contribute significantly in determining ASN interest in participating in self-development programs. These findings provide practical implications for the HR management of Polda Central Kalimantan to design more attractive and effective development programs, one of which is by paying attention to the intrinsic motivational aspects of ASN and managing the duration of the program optimally so as not to become a barrier.
