Global Elementary Education (GEE) requires authors to use appropriate reference management software to ensure consistency and accuracy in citations and references.
GEE uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition as its citation and reference style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote when preparing their manuscripts.
By using the word processor plug-ins provided by these reference management tools, authors can manage in-text citations and automatically generate the reference list according to APA 7th Edition style.
Authors using Mendeley can select the following citation style:
American Psychological Association 7th Edition
When preparing a manuscript in Microsoft Word or another compatible word processor, authors should ensure that the selected citation style is APA 7th Edition and that all references are formatted consistently.
Every reference listed in the References section must be cited in the manuscript, and every source cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list. Authors are responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of all bibliographic information, including author names, publication years, article titles, journal titles, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, and DOI information.
Where available, DOI information should be provided in the standard DOI format.
Authors should refer to the official Global Elementary Education (GEE) article template for examples of citation and reference formatting.
