PLAGIARISM SCREENING

Global Elementary Education (GEE) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all manuscripts published in the journal. Therefore, all manuscripts submitted to GEE are subject to plagiarism and similarity screening as part of the editorial process.

Similarity Checking

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using Turnitin or other appropriate similarity-detection software before proceeding to the review and publication process.

The similarity report will be evaluated by the Editorial Team to identify potential plagiarism, inappropriate citation, excessive textual overlap, or other forms of unacceptable duplication.

Similarity Threshold

GEE applies a maximum similarity index of 20%. However, the similarity percentage is not the sole criterion for determining plagiarism. The Editorial Team will also evaluate the nature and source of the detected similarities.

Manuscripts containing substantial unattributed material, inappropriate paraphrasing, or plagiarism may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, regardless of the overall similarity percentage.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  1. The submitted manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  2. Ideas, quotations, data, figures, and other materials obtained from other sources are properly cited.

  3. Paraphrased material is appropriately written and accompanied by relevant citations.

  4. The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate duplication of previously published work.

Editorial Action

If potential plagiarism or excessive similarity is identified, the Editorial Team may request clarification or revision from the authors. Manuscripts involving serious plagiarism may be rejected.

If plagiarism is identified after publication, Global Elementary Education (GEE) reserves the right to investigate the case and take appropriate action, including issuing a correction or retracting the article when necessary.
