AUTOR GUIDELINES

The Editorial Board of Global Elementary Education (GEE) welcomes original and high-quality manuscripts in the field of elementary education. Authors are required to follow the guidelines below.

1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should consist of Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

Introduction should provide a clear background of the study, identify the research problem and relevant research gap, explain the significance or novelty of the study, and clearly state the research objectives. An extensive literature review or detailed summary of previous studies should be avoided.

Methods should clearly describe the research design, participants or data sources, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques. The methods should provide sufficient information to enable readers to evaluate the validity and reliability of the study.

Results and Discussion should present the main findings clearly and systematically. The findings should be critically interpreted and discussed in relation to relevant theories and previous studies. Authors should explain the contribution and significance of the findings rather than merely restating the results. Tables, figures, and other relevant visual representations may be included where necessary.

Conclusion should directly address the research objectives and summarize the major contributions of the study. It should highlight the implications of the findings and may include recommendations for practice or future research. The conclusion should not merely repeat the results and discussion.

References should include only sources cited in the manuscript and follow the APA 7th Edition style. Authors are required to use Mendeley or another compatible reference management tool. Manuscripts should contain at least 25 references, with at least 80% derived from reputable national or international journal articles. Priority should be given to recent references, particularly those published within the last five years and, where available, with a DOI.

2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian using clear and appropriate academic language. English manuscripts should be carefully proofread for grammar, spelling, clarity, and academic style. Indonesian manuscripts should follow the current official conventions of standard Indonesian.

3. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the official Global Elementary Education (GEE) article template. The manuscript should:

  • use Cambria, 11 pt;
  • use 1.5 line spacing;
  • use A4 paper size;
  • contain approximately 3,500–8,000 words, including the abstract, references, tables, and figures; and
  • use margins of 3 cm top, 4 cm left, 3 cm bottom, and 3 cm right.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use the official GEE template to ensure consistency with the journal's publication format.

4. Originality and Plagiarism

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publication platform.

All submissions will be screened for similarity using Turnitin. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's originality and publication ethics standards.

Authors may also be required to submit a Statement of Originality and other supporting documents during the online submission process.
