The Influence of Organizational Culture on Employee Performance with Affective Commitment as a Mediator in PLN Samarinda Employees

Abstract


This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of organizational culture on employee performance at PLN Samarinda, (2) the effect of organizational culture on affective commitment among employees at PLN Samarinda, and (3) the effect of affective commitment on employee performance at PLN Samarinda. This research is an explanatory study. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 107 employees of PLN Samarinda, determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares). The results of the study indicate that: (1) organizational culture has a positive effect on employee performance, (2) organizational culture has a positive effect on affective commitment, (3) affective commitment has a positive effect on employee performance. And (4) organizational culture has a positive effect on employee performance mediated by affective commitment.
