Improving Human Resource Performance: Religiosity Mediates the Influence of Motivation
Abstract
This study aims to test and strengthen hypotheses regarding the relationships among variables using an explanatory research approach, which emphasizes examining the linkages among theoretical constructs. Primary data were collected through the distribution of closed-ended and open-ended questionnaires to respondents, while secondary data were used as supporting data. The research population consisted of all employees of the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) Type Madya Pabean A Semarang, totaling 202 employees, with sampling measured using a 1–5 Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results show that achievement motivation has a positive effect on human resource performance, achievement motivation has a positive effect on religiosity, and religiosity has a positive effect on human resource performance. These findings confirm that religiosity mediates the relationship between achievement motivation and human resource performance in encouraging the creation of more optimal human resource performance.
