The Influence of Work-Life Balance and Job Stress on Employee Performance Post-Covid-19 Pandemic (Study on Employees of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office, North Kalimantan Province)

Abstract


This study aims to analyze how work-life balance and work stress affect employee performance, and how the role of flexible working arrangement policies implemented after the COVID-19 pandemic moderates the effect of work-life balance on employee performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms as the data source. The object of this study was permanent employees of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of North Kalimantan Province with a saturated sampling method, where all 36 permanent employees became the research sample. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of Smart PLS data processing software version 4.1.0.2. The results of the study indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work stress has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, and flexible working arrangement does not moderate the effect of work-life balance on employee performance.
