Author Guidelines

Aim and Scope

International Journal of Islamic Business Ethics (IJIBE) is a publication medium of research results in the field of Islamic business ethics. Islamic business ethics is a concept of business which based on Islamic values and principles. It is guidance for business actors to know what is right or wrong from Islamic perspective. This is aimed for the benefit of people and the welfare of broader community for either the present or the future. Contributing in this journal, the authors should focus on but not limit to:

-  Islamic economic studies

-  Islamic business ethics

-  Islamic law and society

-  Islamic business management

-  Welfare

-  Humanity

-  Islamic brotherhood

 

Submit in the Journal

The manuscript should be submitted online http://jurnal.unissula.ac.id/index.php/ijibe .

Manuscript

  1. Language : The manuscript should be written in English (both British and American English spellings are allowed) as long as not a mixture of both.
  2. Format : Please prepare the manuscript using Times New Roman with font size 12 and should be double-spaced. The margin is one inch (2,54 cm) all around.
  3. Length : The manuscript cannot exceed 9000 words including all text, figures and tables, and references.
  4. Title : The title should represent the contents of the manuscript and no more than 20 words. The title should not include abbreviations or acronyms.
  5. Author Detail : The author should include his/her affiliation, as well as his/hers co-author(s) affiliation (if any).
  6. Abstract : The abstract includes Purpose (Mandatory), Design / Methodology / Approach (Mandatory), Findings (Mandatory), Research Limitations / Implications (If Applicable), Practical Implications (If Applicable), Social Implications (If Applicable), and Originality / Value (Mandatory). The abstract cannot exceed 250 words.
  7. Keywords : The keywords should not include abbreviations or acronyms which consist of 3 - 6 keywords.
  8. The Main Body : It includes Introduction, Literature Review and Hypotheses, Method, Result and Discussion, Conclusion and Future Research Agenda, Reference, and Acknowledgment (if any).
  9. Figures : Figures (charts, diagrams, line drawings, web pages / screenshots, and photographic images) should have high quality of color. The title of figures should be placed below the figure.
  10. Tables : The table should be embedded in the text and placed in the center of the paper. It cannot exceed the determined margin. The title of table should be above the table.
  11. Reference and Citation: The reference and citation use 6th Edition APA Style. The citation should be in-text citation. Here are the example of references:

Acknowledgement (Not a Mandatory)

The acknowledgement is dedicated to company / institution that fund the research. It cannot exceed 100 words.

IJIBE uses Turnitin (see www.Turnitin.com) to check the originality of the manuscript.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
