Review Process

Praxis: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education is an academic journal published by Universitas Islam Sultan Agung. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant fields. Accepted manuscripts are published online after the review process has been completed.

The journal accepts manuscripts written in Indonesian or English.

Plagiarism Screening

The editorial team checks the manuscript title, abstract, and main text for plagiarism using manual screening, offline and online databases, and Turnitin. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be rejected. If minor textual similarities are detected, authors may be contacted for clarification.

Review Workflow

1
The editor receives the manuscript from the author.
2
The editor evaluates the manuscript for relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with author guidelines, and completeness of the required supplementary files. Manuscripts that fail to meet the basic criteria may be rejected.
3
The editor screens the manuscript for plagiarism through manual checks and Turnitin. Manuscripts with substantial plagiarism will be rejected, while authors may be asked to clarify minor similarities.
4
The editor sends the manuscript and review form to two reviewers for blind peer review.
5
The reviewers submit their evaluation forms to the editor, together with a revised manuscript when applicable.
6
Based on the reviews, the editor makes a decision: rejection, major revision, minor revision, or acceptance.
7
The editor communicates the editorial decision to the author.
8
When revisions are required, authors must submit the revised manuscript promptly. Manuscripts returned after three months will be treated as new submissions.

Research Data Policy

Praxis encourages authors to deposit and share research data to support transparency, reproducibility, and the wider impact of their work. The following requirements apply:

  1. Datasets deposited by authors are considered part of the article and may be assessed during peer review.
  2. Upon acceptance, authors must provide the underlying research data and describe how the dataset was generated, including the software used and any differences from previous versions.
  3. Datasets involving human participants must protect privacy and confidentiality in accordance with the journal's Data Availability Policy.

Ethical review, transparent editorial decisions, and responsible research practices are essential to scholarly publishing.
