Author Guidelines

The editorial team of Praxis: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education accepts original manuscripts that follow the guidelines below.

1. Article Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Author Statement, Acknowledgments, and References.

2. Introduction

The introduction should explain the research background and objectives without an excessively lengthy literature review. Authors must clearly identify the research gap and establish the significance of the study.

3. Methods

The methods section should explain the rationale for the selected methodology, research procedures, and techniques used to identify, select, and analyze data or information. Sufficient detail should be provided to allow readers to assess the validity and reliability of the research, where applicable.

4. Results and Discussion

This section should interpret the findings and explain their significance in relation to existing knowledge. The discussion should connect the findings with the research questions or hypotheses and relevant literature. Tables and figures may be included where appropriate.

5. Conclusion

The conclusion should address the research objectives or questions and explain the significance of the study. It should synthesize the principal findings and may include recommendations for future research.

6. Author Statement

Authors must declare individual contributions using relevant CRediT roles, including Conceptualization, Data Curation, Formal Analysis, Funding Acquisition, Investigation, Methodology, Project Administration, Resources, Software, Supervision, Validation, Visualization, Writing – Original Draft, and Writing – Review & Editing.

7. Acknowledgments

The acknowledgments section should recognize individuals or institutions that contributed to the research or preparation of the manuscript but do not qualify for authorship.

8. References

References must follow APA 7th edition style and should be managed using reference-management software such as Mendeley. Manuscripts should cite at least 25 references, with at least 80% consisting of national or international journal articles published within the last ten years. The reference list must be arranged alphabetically by author surname.

Manuscript Formatting and Requirements

1. Manuscripts must be written in English using academic language, single spacing (1.0), A4 paper, and Bookman Old Style 11 pt font. Manuscripts should be 8–20 pages, excluding the abstract and references. Margins must be 4 cm at the top and 3 cm on the left, right, and bottom.
2. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. A Statement of Originality must be uploaded as a supplementary file during Step 4 of submission. Manuscripts will be screened using Turnitin, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%.
3. The journal accepts research articles based on laboratory, field, or archival studies, conceptual papers, scholarly studies, and applications of theory.

Submission Preparation Checklist

1. The manuscript follows the required formatting: single spacing, A4 paper, Bookman Old Style 11 pt, specified margins, and required page length.
2. The manuscript contains all required sections, including the Author Statement, Acknowledgments, and References.
3. The manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere. The Statement of Originality has been uploaded, and the manuscript is ready for plagiarism screening.

Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits others to use and share the work provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original publication.

Names and email addresses entered on this journal website will be used exclusively for journal management and will not be made available for other purposes or to any other party.

Author Fees

There is no fee for manuscript submission. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 100,000 applies to manuscripts accepted for publication.
