Proceeding of International Conference on The Law Development For Public Welfare

This International Conference is a routine activity held by the Master of Law Program, Faculty of Law, Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA), every June, in order to provide discussion of thoughts and research results related to the development and thinking of legal science. This conference aims to bring together researchers, academics, scientists, students, and practitioners to participate and present their thoughts and latest research findings related to the role of law as a means of protecting human rights in the realization of public welfare.

Vol 5 (2025): 5th: SESSION 2 PROCEEDING: Legal and Human Rights Issues of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gaps and Challenges, And Affected Future Legal Development in Various Countries

PDIH - The Faculty of Law at Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) is hosting a prestigious academic gathering titled the "International Conference and Call for Paper." This event serves as a strategic forum for legal scholars, practitioners, and students to engage in critical dialogue regarding one of the most pressing issues of the modern era: the intersection of technology and jurisprudence.

Central Theme: The conference centers on the theme: "Legal and Human Rights Issues of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gaps and Challenges, and Affected Future Legal Development in Various Countries." The discussion aims to dissect the complexities of AI integration within legal frameworks and its profound implications for human rights and global legislative evolution.

Event Schedule and Venue: The conference is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024, starting at 08:30 WIB. The event will be held physically at the Imam Syafei Building, Faculty of Law, UNISSULA.

Distinguished Speakers: The event will be headlined by a Keynote Address from Prof. Dr. H. M. Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H., the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

To provide a global perspective, the conference features an impressive lineup of Invited Speakers from world-class institutions, including:

  • Europe: Representatives from Germany (CP Germany) and Utrecht University (Netherlands).

  • Asia: Experts from Nagoya University (Japan), Hankuk University (South Korea), and UTHM (Malaysia).

  • Middle East: A scholarly representative from Al-Azhar University (Egypt).

Call for Papers: The committee invites researchers and academics to submit original papers across a broad range of scopes, including Islamic Law, Public Policy, Intellectual Property Rights, and Corruption Eradication in Economic Policy.
