Panduan Penulis

The Editorial Board of Global Elementary Education (GEE) welcomes original and high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, research, and educational practices in primary and elementary education. Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the following guidelines.

1. Manuscript Structure

Research articles should generally consist of the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract and Keywords

  3. Introduction

  4. Methods

  5. Results and Discussion

  6. Conclusion

  7. References

The manuscript structure may be adjusted according to the type and methodological approach of the study, particularly for systematic literature reviews and conceptual papers.

Introduction should explain the research background, context, and significance of the study. It should identify relevant research gaps, formulate the research objectives or questions, and establish the contribution of the study. A detailed literature review or repetition of the results should be avoided.

Methods should clearly describe the research design, participants or data sources, research instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques, as appropriate to the study. Authors should provide sufficient methodological information to enable readers to evaluate the rigor, credibility, and validity of the research process.

Results and Discussion should present the main findings in a clear and systematic manner, supported by relevant tables, figures, or other forms of evidence where necessary. The discussion should interpret the findings in relation to the research questions, relevant theories, and previous studies. Authors should explain the significance, implications, and contributions of their findings rather than merely restating the results.

Conclusion should directly address the research objectives or questions and highlight the principal contributions of the study. It should synthesize the key findings, explain their implications for elementary education, and provide relevant recommendations or directions for future research where appropriate.

2. Manuscript Language and Writing Style

Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia using clear, coherent, and academically appropriate language.

Manuscripts written in English are encouraged to use Grammarly or an equivalent language-editing tool to improve grammar, spelling, and academic expression. Manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia must follow the applicable standard rules of Indonesian spelling and academic writing.

3. Manuscript Formatting

Authors must prepare manuscripts according to the following formatting requirements:

  1. Paper size: A4.

  2. Font: Cambria, 11 pt.

  3. Line spacing: 1.5.

  4. Margins: Top 3 cm, left 4 cm, bottom 3 cm, and right 3 cm.

  5. Manuscript length: Approximately 3,500–8,000 words, including the abstract, references, tables, and figures.

  6. File format: Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format (RTF), as specified in the online submission system.

Authors should use the official GEE article template to ensure consistency in manuscript organization, formatting, tables, figures, citations, and references.
