Hubungan Keterampilan Sosial dan Kesepian Dengan Intensitas Penggunaan Media Sosial Pada Siswa SMP
Abstract
Penggunaan media sosial telah menjadi rutinitas bagi setiap individu, teruma di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan sosial dan kesepian dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial pada siswa SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Islam Terpadu H Kota Semarang dengan total 124 sampel. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu Social Networking Activity Intensity Scale (α = 0,818), skala keterampilan sosial (α = 0,892), serta UCLA versi 3 (α = 0,883). Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda dan korelasi parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang simultan antara keterampilan sosial dan kesepian dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial, ditunjukkan dari nilai R sebesar 0,054 dan F sebesar 4,543 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,013 (p < 0,05). Selanjutnya, tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara keterampilan sosial dan intensitas penggunaan media sosial dengan mengendalikan variabel kesepian, selain itu juga tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kesepian dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial dengan mengendalikan variabel keterampilan sosial.
