Abstrak

This paper aims to describe the responses of victims of sexual violence. The victims in question are children whose ages are 6 - 18 years old. Child Grooming has become one of the sexual crimes against children since the last few years. Grooming is an act where the perpetrator manipulates the victim by building emotional closeness, building the victim's trust so that they will then be abused. The perpetrators vary, many of whom are close people such as neighbors, relatives, stepfathers, biological fathers, biological grandfathers and adoptive fathers. The victim's decision to report or not is dominated by cognitive activities. There are 3 responses that come from the brain when facing problems, which are fight (reporting), flight (avoiding), and freeze (not responding). This response is taken sometimes based on environmental conditions, be it because the perpetrator is a relative of the victim or the presence or absence of family support.
