SIKAP MALAS BELAJAR DAN PLEASURE SEEKING TERHADAP PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA

Abstract


This study aimed to determine the effect of lazy learning and pleasure-seeking on academic procrastination in students. The population in this study were all active undergraduate students of Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang, totalling 14484 and a sample of 266 students. This study uses a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling with a scale in the form of an academic procrastination scale consisting of 36 items with a reliability of 0.983. The second scale uses a lazy learning attitude scale consisting of 20 items with a reliability of 0.957. The third scale uses a pleasure-seeking scale consisting of 21 items with a reliability of 0.952. Data analysis on the first hypothesis in the study used multiple linear regression analysis methods, the results of the research conducted showed that there was an influence of lazy learning attitudes and pleasure-seeking on academic procrastination in students, obtained a score of R = 0.869 and F = 404.01 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05). The second and third analyses used partial correlation data analysis techniques, the results of the correlation between lazy learning attitudes towards academic procrastination obtained a score of r1-2 = 0,400 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05), these results indicate that there is an influence between lazy learning attitudes towards academic procrastination. The next test between the influence of pleasure-seeking on academic procrastination r2-1 = 0,484 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05), shows that there is an influence between pleasure-seeking on academic procrastination. The effective contribution given by the variables of lazy learning attitude and pleasure-seeking to academic procrastination is as much as 75,5%.
