Abstrak

The competence to predict information based on non-fiction text titles has not reached completeness due to various factors. The main cause is that the literacy scores of class VI students at SDN 2 Pemulutan are still low. It is necessary to have a lesson plan that designs a basic literacy program with the application of the PBL model and is equipped with Canva media for learning these competencies. There are two objectives of this study: 1) to describe the learning design, and 2) to describe the level of learning effectiveness in predicting non-fiction text information by applying a basic literacy-based PBL model assisted by Canva media. This study uses a quantitative experimental research approach of the One-Group-Pretest-Postest Design. The design of the PBL model based on the basic literacy program assisted by Canva media is illustrated starting from pre-learning activities (literacy habituation and development literacy), followed by core learning activities applying the syntax of the PBL model assisted by Canva media (learning literacy), to post-learning activities (content summary anthology products). text). Based on the test, was obtained data from the observation of students' responsible attitude of 3.04 and self-confidence of 2.92. Before treatment, the average pre-test result for the knowledge competency score was 61.35. Based on the trial, the average post-test score of 80.65 students was obtained. It was obtained from research data that the application of the basic literacy-based PBL model assisted by Canva media was effective in learning to predict non-fiction text information. It is evident from the improvement in the learning process, the average observed results show that the value of the attitude of responsibility and independence of students is in a good category (2.98). Student learning outcomes increased by 19.30. It was concluded that the basic literacy-based PBL model assisted by Canva media can increase the attitude and knowledge competency values of estimating nonfiction text information for class VI students at SDN 2 Pemulutan.
