Abstract
This study investigates how technological progress and anticipated returns influence Generation Z's interest in cryptocurrency investments, specifically considering the moderating effect of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey of 141 Generation Z cryptocurrency investors. The results show that technological progress, anticipated returns, and FoMO notably impact investment interest. Technological advancements facilitate easy access to investment information and platforms, while high return expectations and the fear of missing out on potential profits drive investment decisions. Furthermore, the study revealed that FoMO acts as a moderator in the relationship between technological advancements and investment interest. The results from this study emphasize the significance of comprehending the psychological elements impacting investment behaviors, most notably among the younger cohorts. Implications for financial education, regulatory policies, and investment platforms are discussed.
