Tindakan Preventif Penyakit Degeneratif dengan Pemeriksaan Kesehatan di Desa Banjaran Gresik

Abstract


Gaya hidup, pola makan, stres, dan aktivitas fisik seperti olahraga sangat berdampak pada masalah kesehatan Indonesia saat ini. Prevalensi penyakit degeneratif meningkat sebagai akibat dari perubahan gaya hidup. Penyakit degeneratif meliputi hipertensi, diabetes melitus, stroke, dan gagal ginjal kronis semakin banyak dijumpai di Indonesia setiap tahunnya. Program pengabdian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan sebagai tindakan preventif penyakit degeneratif bagi masyarakat Desa Banjaran, Gresik. Pemeriksaan kesehatan yang dilakukan antara lain pemeriksaan tekanan darah, kadar glukosa darah, kadar kolesterol total, dan kadar asam urat. Pemeriksaan kesehatan dilakukan di Balai Desa Banjaran, Gresik dan diikuti sebanyak 23 responden. Pemeriksaan dilakukan menggunakan tensimeter untuk mengukur tekanan darah, sedangkan untuk kadar glukosa darah, kadar kolesterol total, dan kadar asam urat dilakukan menggunakan alat Point of Care Test (POCT) merk Accucheck. Dari hasil pemeriksaan tekanan darah, 44% responden memiliki tekanan darah normal, 17% pre-hipertensi, dan 39% hipertensi. Hasil pemeriksaan glukosa darah sewaktu diketahui 4% responden dengan kadar glukosa darah tinggi, sedangkan 96% responden memiliki kadar glukosa darah normal. Data hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan kadar kolesterol total sebanyak 48% responden memiliki kadar kolesterol total normal sedangkan 52% responden memiliki kadar kolesterol total tinggi. Hasil pemeriksaan kadar asam urat diketahui sebesar 74% responden memiliki kadar asam urat normal dan 26% responden memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi. Hasil pemeriksaan digunakan sebagai bahan konsultasi sebagai bentuk edukasi pentingnya melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Dari hasil edukasi diketahui tingkat pemahaman masyarakat meningkat sebesar 52,17%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif bagi kesehatan masyarakat Desa Banjaran, Gresik. 

Lifestyle, diet, stress, and physical activity such as exercise have a significant impact on Indonesia's current health problems. The prevalence of degenerative diseases is increasing as a result of lifestyle changes, especially in big cities. Degenerative diseases including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, stroke, and chronic kidney failure are increasingly found in Indonesia every year. This community service program aims to conduct health checks as a preventive measure for degenerative diseases for the people of Banjaran Village, Gresik. The health checks carried out include blood pressure, blood glucose levels, total cholesterol levels, and uric acid levels. Health checks are carried out using a tensiometer to measure blood pressure, while for blood glucose levels, total cholesterol levels, and uric acid levels, they are carried out using the Accucheck brand Point of Care Test (POCT) tool. The results of the examination are used as consultation material as a form of education on the importance of conducting health checks. From the results of the education, it is known that the level of public understanding has increased by 52.17%. This proves that this community service activity has a positive impact on the health of the people of Banjaran Village, Gresik.
