The Effectiveness Of Road Patrol (PJR) Role In Traffic Accident Prevention
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the role of the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) Ditlantas Polda Central Java in the context of preventing traffic accidents. The normative juridical approach is used to examine the phenomenon that is the focus of the research. Data collection techniques using data reduction, data presentation, triangulation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the steps taken by the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) of the Central Java Police Ditlantas in the context of preventing traffic accidents had adhered to the principles of planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. The Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) Ditlantas Polda Central Java in carrying out the task of preventing accidents then prioritizes patrol activities to monitor road conditions and road users so as not to commit traffic violations that can lead to accidents. The benchmark for the success of the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) of the Central Java Police Traffic Unit in the context of preventing accidents is then determined from the implementation of every preventive activity carried out by the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) of the Central Java Police Traffic Unit, as well as the decrease in the number of traffic accidents.
