My research focuses on sociolinguistics, a branch of linguistics (linguistics) that reveals the relationship between language and society, especially what happens to the Arabic language in Indonesia. Onomastics (nomenclature) is a research topic that I have been involved in in recent years, especially regarding the names of people of Arab descent in Indonesia. Apart from linguistics, I also have a strong interest in the application of educational technology to learning, especially mobile-learning.
