The Role of Investigators in the Process of Resolving Criminal Cases Committed by Children Through Diversion at the Batang Ius Constituendum Police

Abstract


This research aims to determine and analyze the policy role of investigators in resolving criminal acts committed by children through diversion at the Police Ius constituendum stem. It is hoped that this research can provide knowledge regarding the study of thinking in the development of legal science, especially criminal law. To achieve this goal, this research was carried out by observing events or facts that were considered relevant to the research using qualitative descriptive methods, by collecting primary data and secondary data using a juridical-empirical approach with the Data Condensation method. From a study with this theme, it can be concluded that in Handling Children's CasesBatang Resort Police Investigatorin terms of providing protection to children who commit criminal acts, always try to resolve children's cases from the criminal justice process to processes outside criminal justice, as well as try to find alternative solutions to cases outside the applicable law. In the future, it is hoped that diversion regulations can provide legal protection for children to be effective and efficient, so maximum attention is needed from investigators in handling children's crimes. This attention must focus on the psychology of children when facing criminal cases, both as victims and perpetrators.
