Model Bisnis Tanpa Hutang Ribawi

Abstract


Islamic business is a business activity that is in accordance with Islamic rules where business activities are not only profit oriented, but also pay attention to halal and haram provisions. The development of Islamic businesses brings of impacts, one of which began to form in various communities with members of Islamic businesses. The Non-Riba business community is one group of business people who manage their businesses in accordance with Islamic law, where they do not use debt as a source of business capital. The community is now spread in several cities in Indonesia including Semarang. The Non-Riba business community was able to create a new trend for society by encouraging its members not to use high usury based debt loans as a source of capital. This is contrary to the trends in society that uses debt as a source of capital. This study aims to find a model of how members of the Non-Riba business community can develop their business without the help of usury-based debt. Members of the successful Non-Riba business community (11 interviewees) are sampled in this study as informants. Data were collected using in-depth interview techniques and analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of this study are in the form of a theoretical model of business performance without ribawi debt.
