Restorative Justice Implementation in Narcotics Cases

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the settlement of Narcotics cases and the implementation of restorative justice related to narcotics crimes at the Kota Besar Resort Police (Polrestabes) Semarang. The approach method used is sociological juridical, descriptive analytical research specifications. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods are field studies and literature studies. The data analysis method used qualitative analysis. The results showed that the settlement of narcotics cases at the Police Resort Kota Besar Semarang was carried out through the judiciary and through restorative justice. The implementation of restorative justice related to narcotics crimes at the Semarang City Police Resort is in accordance with the provisions of Perpol Number 8 of 2021. Through restorative justice, it can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of resolving narcotics cases because narcotics users can undergo rehabilitation to eliminate dependence on narcotics.
